This great travel regulator packs maximum performance into a minimal amount of space. The feather-light compact second stage is constructed from lightweight technopolymers to eliminate jaw fatigue. Easy to store and use, it includes a dive/pre-dive venturi switch to manage auto-delivery and maximize performance at depth.
Features 1st stage MC9:
- Hyper-balanced diaphragm
- 2 hp 7/16 unf outputs
- 4 mp 3/8 unf outputs
- Operating pressure: 300 bar (4350 psi) DIN version, 232 bar (3365 psi) international version
- Calibration pressure: 10 bar
- Chemically nickel-plated brass body
- High capacity filter in chemically nickel-plated spherical bronze
- Removable nozzle in AISI 316 steel
- Hyperbalancing system
- Anti-drop air spring
- Stainless steel calibration spring with micropeening treatment
- Piston sliding sleeve replaceable during maintenance
- Body protection in thermoplastic polyurethane
- Air flow rate: 4500 l/min
- Weight of internal version: 590 gr
- Weight din version: 450 gr
SECOND STAGE XS COMPACT:
New ultra-simplified second stage, single-case in acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) + elastomer, very small in size (6 cm in diameter), super light (145 g) with a construction mechanism designed to obtain the minimum number of components and great robustness.
The specific calibration of the inhalation mechanism slightly changes its air delivery personality compared to the Ellipse series, providing, in addition to the extraordinary sensitivity of these models, a high flow rate without the need for an excessively accentuated Venturi effect.
This feature limits its tendency to continuously deliver on the surface or when wearing equipment in the water and makes it ideal for schools and rentals, as an octopus and as a double regulator. However, the performance results place it above regulators considered to be of a higher range.
Asymmetric perforation of the front cover. The water flow begins to push the membrane counterclockwise so that its retraction occurs perfectly flat and the lever lowers progressively and completely perpendicularly regardless of the conditions (current, sudden movements, any position of the face, etc.).
Extremely low exhalation effort without having to reduce the thickness of the membrane. The design of the membrane retention system channels 100% of the flow towards the whisker holes using a powerful Venturi effect which also helps direct the bubbles away from the diver's field of vision.
Membrane fixed in such a way as to avoid water infiltration in case of sudden rotations or when entering the water from the boat.
Virtually integral purge button, 80 to 400% larger than any other regulator on the market to make emptying easier, especially for inexperienced divers.
Lid assembly system by means of a 30º bayonet turn, to ensure very simple and safe assembly and disassembly, even in the case of sand cleaning operations carried out on the beach, without the need for tools.
Reduced wear thanks to the casing finish, obtained by applying a new technology during molding that allows to obtain a grainy appearance based on a microstructure of rounded profiles.
