Tyr Hurricane C1 Triathlon Wetsuit: High-level performance at a reduced price
TYR wetsuits are specifically designed for the needs of triathletes. The main advantage they offer to those competing in triathlon competitions is energy savings combined with greater speed. The characteristics that differentiate a good triathlon wetsuit from a normal wetsuit for swimming or other disciplines are the following:
- A thinner and/or more flexible neoprene in the armpit and shoulder area
- Longer zippers and softer gaskets to make it easier to put on and take off during transitions from one phase of the race to another
- An extremely smooth outer surface to reduce water friction
- Increased buoyancy to reduce fatigue and increase speed
The TYR Hurricane C1 wetsuit, developed in collaboration with Andy Pott, one of the most famous US triathlon champions, has all these and many other features and is perfect for those who are new to this discipline or for those who compete at an amateur level but want a high-performance wetsuit with an excellent quality-price ratio.
Main features:
- High quality neoprene
- The C1 wetsuit is made entirely of Slick Skin neoprene with a thickness of 4 mm on the chest and legs and with differentiated thickness on the shoulders and arms to ensure excellent thermal protection, high buoyancy and maximum comfort in the stroke.
- High buoyancy
- The use of strategically placed 5mm neoprene panels provides positive buoyancy in the water which reduces drag and increases speed.
- Shaping at the ankles
- The ankle taping allows for easy reverse removal of the suit for quick and effortless doffing during T1.
