Mares engineers designed the Atlas Adj 62X regulator with the most extreme conditions in mind. The second stage, entirely made of metal, offers high thermal conductivity, making it one of the best performing regulators even for cold water diving. Particularly resistant, it is designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding diving environments. With performance standards that exceed expectations at 200 m and technology proven at 400 m, the Atlas ADJ 62X is ready to live up to the high standards that divers expect from Mares regulators.
FIRST STAGE
This new 62X TBP first stage is the first Mares recreational regulator to feature the dual piston (TBP) anti-freeze kit. The 62X first stage also features AST (Auto Sealing Technology), which protects against water ingress into the first stage and uses the DFC (Dynamic Flow Control) system, which guarantees a high and constant airflow.
The main features of the 62X TBP first stage are:
- TBP Anti-Freeze Kit for better performance when diving in cold water
- LP outlet with DFC ensures high airflow at any depth
- AST - first stage with watertight system to prevent water ingress
- Pre-oriented LP and HP outputs
- Compact, diaphragm first stage
- Chrome-pearl finish
SECOND STAGE
The new Atlas second stage features the PAD (Pneumatically Assisted Design) system in combination with the VAD (Vortex Assisted Design) system patented by Mares. This synergy allows for high airflow, offering smooth and comfortable breathing at all depths and in extreme temperatures. The passage of air inside the by-pass where there are no moving parts, the possible formation of ice crystals during cold water dives is never a problem.
The Atlas second stage features a large pivoting purge button and a knob for easy adjustment of breathing comfort even when wearing gloves. The Atlas regulator uses a Superflex low pressure hose that, thanks to its lightness and flexibility, ensures high comfort during use.
The main features of the Atlas second stage are:
- ALL METAL Technology
- VAD system for natural breathing at any depth
- Adjusting breathing comfort to suit the diver's needs
- PAD - Pneumatically Assisted Design; the second stage valve is designed and built for pneumatic operation, minimizing the spring load and, consequently, the inhalation effort.
- Large, pivoting flush button, easy to use even with thick gloves
- High airflow
- Superflex whip
